Go deeper and discover the hidden coral reefs of the Mexican Caribbean

decompression diving in playa del carmen

The mayan riviera coastline is home to the second largest coral reef in the world. Although the area is mostly know for its amazing cave systems, off the coast lie deep coral walls both on the inland side and the cozumel side. These walls are lined with black coral and enormous sponges and are home to many species of tropical fishes and turtles.

These dive sites are very rarely visited and remain in higlhly prestine condition:

  • above 30m – 100feet visibility

  • water temperature 27/30C – 81/86F

  • densely populated reef with a lot of sea life, including various species of sharks

As always, having an experienced technical instructor as your guide means I will answer any questions you may have and help you refine your equipment and protocols. Also, I can provide a decompression refresher if it has been some time since your course or your last dives. Many cave divers who have been coming to the area many times in the past are blown away when they discover the untouched beauty that lies just a few hundred feet from the coastline, hidden in plain sight.
