Travel back in time and discover the wonderful beauty of the cenotes

What is cavern diving ?

Cavern dives here in mexico are conducted by guides who are experienced instructor and cave divers. The cavern zone in which the dives are conducted is strictly defined for the safety and comfort of visiting divers:

  • visible daylight during every part of the dive

  • penetration into the overhead environment limited to 200 ft

  • large open areas where two divers can swim side by side

  • divers must remain close to a continuous guideline that marks the exit

  • conservative gas managment rule of thirds (1/3 in, 1/3 out, 1/3 reserve)

Every cenote is very different and you will be able to enjoy the crystal clear water, incredible light shows, near limitless visibility, as well as geological formations (stalagtites and stalagmites) and fossils showing the remains of the ancient coral reef. I will be your personnal guide to those magical places and depending on your experience level we can choose the best option for you together. a day of cavern diving consist of two dives and typically lasts from 8h30am to 4pm. because all my tours are completely private it will be just you and your guide, diving at your own pace and comfort level. I can accomodate groups up to 4 people, for larger groups I can arrange additional guides as required.

Most cenotes can be accessed from 15 years old with an open water certification but some of the more advanced ones require the advanced open water certification and good control of your buoyancy. contact me to start planning your trip to this unique environment under the best possible conditions !
